We are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please note, the Decorative Showroom, located at 1604 and Blanco is open to the public Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Will Call Hours at this facility are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The Showroom is available during alternate hours by appointment.
The downtown location (202 Culebra) is home to our main lumber yard, mill facility, and hardware warehouse. At the downtown facility you will also find our original decorative showroom and all of the administrative offices. If you are interested in purchasing lumber or in-stock commercial hardware, this is the location you should visit. Special Order moulding, hardware and plumbing fixtures can also be selected and ordered from this location.
The Northside Showroom is home to our large, decorative showroom. Here you will see a large number of brand name hardware, plumbing and lumber products. The Decorative Showroom is also home to our WeatherShield Windows and Doors display and sales center. The Showroom is the ideal place to visit if you are a trade professional or do-it-yourselfer trying to find the perfect decorative touch for your home or business. *Please note that while lumber selections and displays are available at the Northside Showroom, all major lumber purchases do take place out of the downtown location.

You do not have to make an appointment to make selections, however we recommend you do in order to guarantee the best possible service. We are happy to work with you to find any type of product for any type of job. You do not need to make an entire house package selection in order to buy from us.
At the current time we do not have a catalog of all of our products, but we are working hard to bring one to you in printed and electronic form.
Many items that you find at Allen & Allen must be special ordered. This ensures that you get exactly what you are looking for in exactly the style and finish you desire. While a large majority of items do need to be special ordered, we do carry a large amount of stock as well. A sales person at either of our locations can tell you whether an item is a stock item or special ordered. The delivery time on special order items varies depending on the item being ordered and the vendor being used. The time can vary from a few days to several weeks. We recommend that you work closely with your Allen & Allen salesperson to determine the time it will take to receive your special order.
There is a $10 minimum charge. Delivery charges will be incurred when an item(s) must be shipped from our location to yours. If you have a specific question about our delivery schedule, please contact your Allen & Allen salesperson.
There is much more! We work hard to display a large sampling of the products we sell, but there is a large amount of product that we simply do not have the space to display. Most hardware items are available in multiple finishes and in multiple styles

At this time, we do not do any installations on the lumber side of the business; however we can recommend a number of qualified companies from our customer base. Allen & Allen does have a professional installer and service man on staff for the purpose of installing and repairing hardware. Because we schedule our installer weeks in advance, it is important for the salesperson and the customer to discuss the time frame for the installation. The price of the installation can vary depending on the type of hardware selected and whether or not the job includes installing cabinet hardware, bath accessories, and miscellaneous items such as hinges and door closers.
We currently do not offer take offs from blueprints.
We are able to supply spec sheets for most of our hardware items. If it is an item that we do not have sheets on, we can request them from the factory. Please let us know if we can do this for you.
When selecting door hardware, it helps to know the size and thickness of the doors. It also helps to know whether the doors are prebored or unbored (does the door have a hole in it already or not).

We can re-key locks that we have sold or are putting together for a house package. We normally key Schlage, Kwikset, Baldwin, Bouvet, LaForge and Titan.
Allen & Allen's return policy is to charge a 10% restocking charge on Stock items that are returned in their original condition and within sixty days from the date of purchase. Regarding Special Order items - Allen & Allen tries its best to insure that the customer is ordering the right item by asking them to sign a Special Order form which details that the item is a special order item and therefore it is Non-Returnable.

Yes, we you may open an account with us. In order to do this, you must fill out a credit application. We will then do a credit check and determine whether or not you are qualified to open an account with us. We charge a moulder set up fee for all custom mouldings that we run. Currently that fee is $45. By charging this fee, we are able to run small orders as well as large runs and therefore have no minimum footage requirements.
Our lead times vary with the amount of orders, but a good rule of thumb is approximately one week.
Customers who have an account with Allen & Allen are able to check inventory, pricing and account information online using our online custom software.
